Travelers Introduces App for Claims
Travelers has introduced a claim app for auto accidents. It will walk you through the steps you need to take to document the accident and submit a claim. It will allow you to photograph the damage and record an audio description.
The app is available for iPhone and Android phones. You can download it here.
This is a mostly helpful app, but our legal counsel says be wary of the recording feature: "You can and should take photographic evidence of the accident, but be careful with recording statements, especially your own. All of those statements will be admissible in any future legal proceedings. You should treat them with respect and formally as you would if you were being interviewed by a police officer or under oath." That is good advice.
