How Much Life Insurance Does Charlie Sheen Need?

Well, it all depends on how much income his kids and his . . . uh, "girlfriends" will need to maintain their current lifestyle after he dies.  It will also depend on what kind of interest Charlie's beneficiaries might be able to make on the life proceeds and estimated inflation they might encounter in the coming years.

As you can see, this can get a little complicated.  It doesn't have to be.

We've added a life insurance calculator to our website that will help make Charlie's decision a little easier.  Just click on the above link and scroll down a bit.  All Charlie has to do is find a sane person who can help him complete this webtool.

Charlie made about $28 million dollars from his TV deal last year.  That's quite bit of money and probably more than he can expect to make in the future.

But, the real question is how much money he needs on an annual basis to sustain his beneficiaries' lifestyles and how many years that income needs to continue. Something tells me that after Charlie's gone, his beneficiaries may not need as much money.

Let's assume that number is $1 million a year for 20 years (enough to get the kids through college!).  Let's also assume that Charlie's heirs can get very good investment advice and average a return of 5% or so on their life proceeds for the next 20 years.  Let's also assume that inflation averages 3% a year over that same time period.

To fund that kind of income for 20 years, it will take a death benefit of more than $16 million!

That sounds expensive!  $16 million IS a lot money, but if Charlie wants to find out how expensive it will be all he has to do is use our instant term life insurance quoting feature at the same link.

He inputs his age (45), his gender (male), his smoking status (non-smoker, dubious I know), and his estimated health status (athletic preferred, i.e., the "tiger blood" equivalent).  Of course, Charlie will have to substantiate all this with an exam, but he can still get an idea about how much it will cost.

Charlie could get a $16,000,000 death benefit for 20 years for an annual premium as low as $18,640.  That assumes the carrier will accept his "tiger blood" underwriting status.

Odds are that you will not need $16,000,000 in life insurance.  But, we'd bet that you need something.  Charlie's policy cost about $1,165 per million dollars of coverage on an annual basis.  That is less than $100 a month for $1,000,000 in life insurance!

Complete the calculator and find out how much you need.  Then see just how affordable life insurance can be!  We will do the rest of the work.

It so easy, even Charlie Sheen can do it!
